Education that makes a difference
How can we help you?
What can you offer that I cannot get from others?
Many educators do not receive training or may not have personal experience in:
- PDA demand avoidance
- neuro-immune conditions that affect behavior
- medical flares that impact attention, mood, and executive functioning, anxiety-based shutdowns, and trauma-induced refusal.
These are my specialties and areas of interest, both personally and professionally.
Do I need previous experience for the courses or to come into a consult appt?
There’s no need to have any prior knowledge for our courses except for the business catch-up mini course which is intentionally meant to compliment previous training with us or with someone similar. Whether it be a course or a 1:1 coaching relationship, there will be no need to have any prior experience, and I am happy to answer any questions on subjects you may have.
Do you only offer virtual visits and courses?
No! Because everything is individualized, we can always discuss the best options for your child, your family, your organization, your business, etc.! I am located in Westchester County, NY, so there may be some limitations to our in-person bookings, but I would love to hear more about what works best for you. Creativity, flexibility, and individualizing are at the core of what I believe in and do!
When can I start?
Courses are available immediately or being built and coming soon. Bookings for EF coach, tutoring, family support, or organization support are available through our calendar booking system, and I find it best to start with an initial 15-minute phone consultation so I can hear more about your needs. I also offer hybrid training and course options, as well as fully live options available by request.
Is this therapy?
No, I offer educational support and act more in a coaching capacity, like I am your cheerleader! Think of me as an ideas person, always ready to jump in and help.
What ages do you support?
I am currently working on my NYS K-12 teacher certification, and my support falls within this grade range. I am most experienced in working with ages 5-13, but have worked with all ages, including young adults.
Is your support appropriate for a child is school-avoidant?
Yes! I have lived and breathed school avoidance / "school refusal" for many years, so I do have a lot of experience in this area.
Do you work with homeschoolers?
Yes, of course! I work with all kinds of students and specialize in learners who don't fit into conventional systems. You can see my listing here on the helpful site Alliance for Self-Directed Education. Becoming a NYS certified teacher is important to me in order to help homeschooling families with neurodivergent students through parts of the process.
